セイラムは言いました。
Salem explained to the witch.

『僕は自信がありません。昨日のかくれんぼも直ぐ見つかったし、カラスも僕の事をバカにしました。何も出来ない僕がどうやって魔女さんを手伝ったら良いのでしょうか？』
"I don't have any confidence. I was found soon when we played hide-and-seek yesterday, even the crow enjoyed teasing me. I am a cat who is nothing to do. How do I help you such a cat like me?

『お黙りなさい！ セイラム！！』
"Zip your lips! Salem!"

サブリナはピシャリと言い放ちました。
Said Sabrina flatly.

『魔女さんに、そのままでいい って言われたのを忘れたの？』
"Don't you remember? She said that she chose you as you are."

セイラムを叱った後、サブリナはクルッと振り返り、魔女に言いました。
After scolding Salem, she turned to look at the witch and said to her.

『魔女さん。お願いです。わたしも一緒に連れていって下さい。私はセイラムを守るって、お母さんと約束したんです。そして、私はお手伝いが出来る猫です。魔女さんとセイラムの役に立ってみせます！私を信じて下さい。』
"MS Witch, please. Please bring me too, I made a promise to our mother that I will protect Salem. And I do help you. I will be a helpful cat in many ways for you and my brother! Please trust me."

魔女はしばらく黙っていました。が、にっこり微笑んでこう言いました。

The witch didn't say anything. After a while, she smiled and said.

『サブリナ、おまえは気がついたんだね、知恵と勇気がある事に。ただ思いつめるだけではなく、自信を持ってその想いを言葉に出来る。本当に強い猫はね、優しくなくてはならないんだよ。』
"Sabrina, you notice that you are wise and brave. Not only just thinking, but can make words with confidence. I think the strong cat in the true sense of the word must have kindnesses."

魔女は ほほほ と笑いました。
The witch laughed in an affected manner.


『運命を切り開いたおまえの勝ちだ。わたしはサブリナの勇敢な姿に惚れたよ。セイラムと一緒に来てくれるかい？』
"You win 'cause you've just carved out your own fortune. I was charmed by your brave deed. Will you come with us?"

ワーっと歓声があがった。
A great cheer arose.

他の猫たちも、管理人さんも、『良かったね、サブリナ』と喜んでくれました。
Other cats and the manager were happy to say "Way to go, Sabrina"

こんなにも皆んながサブリナを応援していたのです。
Everybody supported Sabrina very much.

『ありがとう皆んな。ありがとう』
"Thank you everyone. Thanks a lot."

それから、サブリナは優し過ぎる兄を見た。
Then she saw her too kind brother.

『サブリナ、良かったね。僕、嬉しいよ。サブリナが一緒に居てくれたら僕、怖くないもの。』
"Sabrina, good for you. I am very happy. If you are with me, I am not scared."

サブリナは知っていた。
兄は、何の策略をも持たない事を。
自分の弱さを認め、相手の凄さを認め、それをただ単に口にするだけ。
He doesn't use any tricks. She knew that.
He accepts his weakness, and one's excellence, then he just speaks his mind.

サブリナは純粋な兄が眩しくて、羨ましかった。
Sabrina was embarrassed because of his innocence, and she envied him.



『それにね』
"Moreover"

魔女は言いました。
Said the witch.


『おまえのシッポは実に良い形だね』
"You have a very nice tail."


『ええ？』サブリナは驚きました。
"What?" Sabrina was surprised.
『わたしの このシッポがですか！？』
"You mean, my tail !?"



『ああ』魔女は言いました。『この扇の様なシッポはわたしのお気に入りだよ。初めて見た時からそう思っていたよ。』
"Sure." Said the witch."This fan-shaped tail is my favorite. I've been thinking of it at first sight."


サブリナは自分のシッポを改めて見てみました。
She looked at her tail once more.

短く曲がったシッポが孔雀の様に扇型に開いています。

Her short bendy tail looks like a peacock's opened tail.

サブリナはにっこり微笑んで、シッポをピンっと立てて言いました。
Sabrina smiled brightly and up straight her tail, then said;



『はい！母から受け継いだ自慢のシッポです。』
"Yes! I have the inherited my mother's proud tail."
