夢に敗れたのだ。 Her dream was shattered.

魔女のお手伝い黒猫として、自分以上に優秀な猫はいない

そう思っていたつもりが、

何もしないでただ隠れていた兄、セイラムが選ばれたからだ。

She believed that she is the only one to be able to help the witch, but her lazy brother, Salem was chosen by.



『私の何がいけなかったのかしら？』 サブリナは思いました。

『シッポ？ やっぱりシッポが短いから？』

" What was wrong with me?" Sabrina thought.

"My tail? Because of my short tail?"

サブリナは短く切れた自分のシッポを憎らしげに眺めました。
She looked at her short broken tail painfully.

生まれた時からサブリナは小さかった。
シッポだけではなく、胴体も短くて、例えシッポがかゆくても届きもしない。
She was born to be a small cat.
Not only the tail but also her body was short, and even that tail itches, she never reaches the itchy place.

それに比べてセイラムはなんて綺麗で 長いシッポを持っているのだろう‥‥。
Compared with her brother, Salem has a very long and so beautiful tail.........

『この、シッポが悪い！！』

" This ugly tail!!"


サブリナは自分のシッポが憎くて噛み切ってやろうと顔を伸ばしましたが、届かず、くるくる くるくる とシッポを追いかけて 回り始めました。

She stretched her face toward her hated tail to bite it off, but she couldn't reach that part and started to spin herself.

すると、周りの猫たちはケラケラとサブリナを笑うのでした。
Then, other cats around her laughed at her.


『笑うな！』 "Stop laughing!"

サブリナは怒って、笑った猫たちに強烈な猫パンチを浴びせました。

She was mad and punched them very hard.

『ゴメン、サブリナ。 そんなつもりはなかったんだよ』
" I'm sorry Sabrina. I don't mean it."


猫たちは逃げて謝りました。 サブリナは身体は小さいけれど、強くて賢く、勇気のある猫だと皆んな知っていました。
They run away and apologized to her. They knew that Sabrina is strong, smart and brave in spite of her small body.

サブリナは皆んなから認められていたのです。
Actually, she was recognized as a great cat.



『ふん』サブリナは鼻をならしました。
"So what?" She turned up her nose.



ーわたしよりセイラムが優秀だというの？
Is Salem more excellent than I ?


ーそんな事、ありえない。
Bull shit!

ーわたし、納得いかない。
I cannot believe that.


ー諦めるもんですか。
I never give up.

サブリナは魔女を振り向かせる作戦を立てる事にしました。
She decided to make a strategy to attract the witch's attention.
